I still dun have any pics! humph..ahha..

let's see..wad did I do for the past few days..on Sat I had lesson..how tragic..n I met my bf after tat..we went to Ikea..we bought a chair for me! cos the back of my chair is kinda low n I keep complaining tat it gives me backaches..on Sun we went to JB! I can't even remember wad I bought..but I went kinda crazy in watsons just buying daily products..haiyo..

today..met WJ after class..haven't seen her for quite some time..accompanied her to get her eyelash extension done..$60..I am such a nice friend..I just sat there n yakked n yakked to her n the lady while waiting..haha..like an hour plus maybe 2 hours? after tat we hit Bugis..ah god it was terrible..we shouldn't be allowed within even a 1 km radius of each other..tsk..no self control..$$$$$ just flew away..but she spent twice the amount I did..haha..n she took three times the amount of time to make her purchase decisions..as usual we were making a fool of ourselves n all the shop owners found our bickering funny..seriously..cos she'd ask me which one is nicer..den when I make my choice..she'd go..

"reallllly mehhhhhhhh"..in a very dubious tone..

n tis will go on many many many times..

den she'll ask me to justify why..

n when I give her an answer she'll say "but I like tat one better lei.."

so of cos I'd say buy the one u like better..

"sure or not......why lei??" n it goes on n on..repeat it around 8 times..kua kua..

n OH GODDDDDDDD..she bought a pair of shoes..after deliberating for ages n ages..25 mins!!! I timed! haha..asked so many ppl's opinion..den she bought pair A..we left bugis street..at parco already..den she decided..she liked the other one better!!! -_-"""" WJJJJJJJJJ! so we got it changed..

n the BEST thing was..she didn't know how to lock her keypad! wahhhhhh..I giggled myself silly..the convo went lidat..

ok I've used tis once..n yes it's good..I like it (:


firstly..it has a really nice sounding name..lol..kidding la! actually I bought it cos I was looking for something which would hydrate my skin..I have eczema but thankfully not on my face..but sometimes my skin can get really dry..especially the area around my mouth..my skin starts peeling n it gets really painful..on random occasions after I wash my face..I get red spots around the area..pfft..so I desperately needed something to soothe my skin..thus I got tis!


becos on the back of the packaging said "chill for maximum benefit"..I decided to just dump the whole thing inside the fridge..n when I used it..it just made me one happy camper..


superrrrr cooling effect..great..it's not too thick..very light..almost like water..it's a sleeping mask as well..n I asked the salesgirl..she said I could alternate it with my raspberry roots sleeping mask..


when I woke up the next morning..there was like..a thin transparent film over my face..n my skin looked refreshed! n hydrated..not kidding! n about 90% of the dryness n peeling skin was gone..SO HAPPY! I was telling Nurul about tis in class today..n she agreed tat the dryness was eliminated..cos just the day b4 I was showing her the painful area! so WHOOPEEE..costs about $30 I tink..I can't really remember..

Garnier's Pure Self-heating Sauna Mask


recommended to me by Nurul! she used tis last week n she said it was wonderful..she said tat she could feel the impurities being removed from her face..n she asked me to try it!

so I just bought 1 from Watsons to try..it comes in 2 sachets..n I tried it after cleansing my face just now..


n in my opinion..just rocks becos it is cheap..n effective..so u dun have to spend a lot of money on expensive products becos tis..WORKS..


the product desciption says tat it containts clay n zinc..to remove impurities..unclog pores..removes excess sebum so tat face looks clear n shine-free..


so the texture of it is actually like a paste..a lil thick..so it doesn't drip all over the place when u apply it on ur face..n it's bluish..


I applied it to my whole face except the lip n eye area..immediately I could feel it heating up..very nice n warm feeling..very comfy..tis is to help open up the pores so all the dirt can be extracted out..n a good thing about tis mask..it's quick..u only have to leave it on for 3 mins..but I left it on a lil longer..about..5 mins..n I went to wash it off..


n Nurul was right! as I was washing it off..I could feel tiny bits in the mask..like..small grains....u know a bit of sandy feeling..being washed off..the impurities..whiteheads..blackheads..were really extracted!!!! even those from horrible stubborn areas..n subsequently..those which remained..I could remove them easily n PAINLESSLY with the stupid wand thing..HAPPY! b4 I discovered the white mud nose pack n tis..I used tat dumb wand thing n SHOVELLED my face lor to remove blackheads..n anyone who does tat knows tat it hurts like a........beyotch..n it leaves ur face looking red n puffy for a while..EEW right..


n yes my skin felt clearer..fresher..n my pores become smaller! it also didn't have the uncomfortable tight or dry feeling which some facial products leave me feeling..


I checked a few other reviews as well..n hey! many ppl feel tat tis mask really rocks! so it's worth a try!


if it doesn't work for u..all u lose is $2.35 n maybe a bit of ur patience..n maybe u'd curse me also la..but..haha..$2.35 for 2 doses lei! cheap n good! reallyyyyyyyyyyy..

finally! nightmare modules are over! my pr exam was on saturday..it was better than advertising paper..I hope! just had my tv scripting module today..it's nice to have some writing module for a change..my brain was so overloaded previously..buttttt..my lessons start at 9! n at the dhoby gaut campus..so far......n I'm afraid my atm card will melt..all the shopping centres are so near!

I bought tis last Thurs from the face shop..hee..after a super stressed day..from doing my assignment..so I decided to reward myself..

today's my mom's bday! she's 46..we went for dinner together at Century Square..been quite a while since I went out with her..

n I realised..we're v different! not looks la..since everyone says I look like her..but personality wise..we're total opposites..funny how it turns out tis way seeing tat we all live under the same roof..

my next module is starting soon..TV Scripting..normally I abhor any TV modules..dislike! but I'm currently so sick of advert n pr..absolutely sickening! I've been poring at objectives n goals n mission statements I have nightmares about them..zzz..can't wait for it to be over..

just some pics from last Fri..I tink I mentioned..I bought some clothes from TUBEE..SY was nice enough to let me try them on first! initially wanted to get 3 but the last one looked like a drop cloth on me..so no..

I only eat snowskin mooncake! I dun like the baked one..actually hor..I like the skin most lei..the fillings all taste the same to me..hehe..crazy..might as well go make my own right..one ball of dough put in the fridge n eat..

OMGGGGGGGGGG MY WISDOM TOOTH HURTS SO BAD!! it gives me one hell of a headache! =( how now?

finally post assignment n exam for advertising is over! my paper wasn't half bad..I could answer the questions more or less..maybe one or two questions a lil bit off..so I have a some time..ok maybe just a bit of time to do some other stuff besides study..

so I shall blog! =D

bf n I went to Vietnam on the 20th! it was a Wed! I fell a bit sick tat day..how unlucky! I kept sneezing n my nose..wah..I bought so many packs of tissue there..we took Jetstar! wasn't too bad cos it was just a 2 hour flight!

our flight was in the morning..so we reached Ho Chi Minh city really early! around 8.30! we took a taxi to our hotel..around S$10..n their taxis are really nice..big n spacious! their cabbies provide v good service too! they'll carry ur stuff for u..open doors..he even asked someone to help us cross the road! becos their roads aren't like ours..they have 5 million motorbikes in tat city itself..n they have road signs n signals..but..

1. they can barely be seen
2. 95% of the motorists don't follow them..

n their traffic lights are like..not compulsory..HAHA! more like just a guideline..like for us..yellow light means to slow down..for them it means..CHIONG AS FAST AS U CAN..serious! n they can drive in all directions..they don't have many cars..but oh boy..the bikes..so the correct way to cross the road..is to just....cross..if not u'd be waiting all day..just walk slowly n they'll just "siam" u..super interesting..scary at first but it was just downright amusing after a while..

we stayed at Elios Hotel! a mighty nice hotel I must say..it wasn't too expensive..yet the facilities were adequate..internet facilities n SCV!! many channels somemore lorh..n their breakfast was yummy! n they varied their menu! =D



we were allowed to check in early! so we dumped all our stuff there..n went to explore the streets..

we were really hungry! n so we made our way into one of the restaurants..their streets were lined with many restaurants n pubs..super chillout place actually HCM! very laid-back lifestyle..many ang mohs were there!



nice yea? we had pho their! their traditional noodles..SUPER NICE. its like kway teow but much softer..plus their beansprouts n dunno wad kind of leaves in it..n we put our own chilli sauce n soy sauce in it..their chilli sauce is deeeeeelicious! I loved it so much..I added a huge amount..n we had coffee! cos bf said Vietnamese coffee is one of the best..but the woman couldn't understand me so she didn't add milk for me! I drank black coffee..haha..couldn't drink more than half of it..our meal was so cheap..$10? wow wow..

since it was the first day we decided not to go too far..we walked around to familarize ourselves with the place..




oh n it rained a few times everyday..but theirs is more of sudden shower..come n go in 15 mins! so not too bad..

we went to Ben Thanh market!


it's smth like our Bugis Street..there's EVERYTHING..bags..wallets..sunglasses..accessories..make up..clothes..scarfs..foodstuffs..n it's very hot in there..but not the chatuchak kind of burning hot..but those ppl selling clothes are super hardsell..they held my hand n led me into their shop..I was quite scared..n they're stuff..super cheap! T-shirts cost $4? PERFUMES COST $5!! O_O I bought a box of fake eyelashes for Nurul for $2.90..seriously..we were millionaires there..didn't even know how to count the money..S$1 = VND 12,000!

after walking around for a coupla hours..we went back to rest our poor feet..b4 going out to find some chow!





we went into one of the alleys..n just picked a restaurant again..n boy was the food nice! one thing we realised abt their eateries..they all have an extensive menu! they have their local food..chinese food..italian food..indian food yada yada..


bf's food! I know tis picture doesn't look too appetising but..it's good haha..

I had penne with prawn in lemon sauce! I didn't take a pic of it cos I attacked it the moment it arrived..shiok! tink $10 also for our meal..

turned in after tat..super super tired..

woke up early the next morning..6.15! went for breakfast n everything..n by 7.45 we were at Sinh Cafe..it's a tour agency..we went there to book packages n everything..cheap! we went for the Mekong Delta trip..as tat river's v big..they're many different packages..visiting different parts of the river..there's even a 7 days 6 night trip..I WILL DIE! imagine being on a boat for so many days..aha! our cost $16 per person! to Cai Be and Vinh Long!

it was a long long long bus ride to Cai Be..we slept n slept..



we boarded a motorized boat there..at Cai Be floating market..the locals were selling..buying n exchanging goods from their boats..things like..pumpkins..turnips..etc..


the locals stay there! they mentioned tat all their lil kids know how to swim! we saw a few splashing about in the water..


while some of them live in tis!


a closer look..got cooking area..wash area..toilet..blah blah..I can't imagine life lidat!


we stopped at tis place to look at the orchard..watch them making rice crispies..n coconut candy! I went crazy over it..so nice! bought a few packets n I chomped away on it..hee..

n it was back to the boat!


the clouds there are really low..but v nice n fluffy looking!


from the start to the end I thought these two were..really..suspicious..haha!

n below's a reason why we had to be very careful on the boat..

kidding la! these are kept crocodiles..eek..could pay to feed them raw chicken on a line..forgot how much..a dollar I tink..


we had lunch here! their greenery is really lush! Vietnamese lunch..some pork thing with rice..dunno wad also..but nice!

I bought tis fan at Ben Thanh market for like a dollar..cos it was so hot! saved my life..


back on the boat..it's so dark cos it rained..REAL HEAVILY..omg like right out of an anaconda movie..u know the part where they were going slowly along the river n it was pouring..THE SAME SCENE! so scary..n u know wad! some silly ppl tried to get out of the rain so they all RUSHED TO ONE SIDE OF THE BOAT..n the guide was telling them to keep it balanced..so dumb right!

n we were back to HCM after another long bus ride..3 hours!

visited Zen Plaza..some shopping centre..very ex..no point shopping in there! made our way to their night market..it's right behind the Ben Thanh market..selling clothes n stuff..bought myself a pair of slippers!

decided to have seafood for dinner! cos tat's wad they're known for..but I dun eat much seafood so..wasted heh..


fish in caramel sauce! loved it..the sauce was heavenly..


wads tis called? I tried one.. =/ didn't fancy it! bf ate them..he had escargots too..but I didn't take pic..scared!

pineapple shake..I know it doesn't look too good here but it's the nicest shake I've ever had..I'm serious..

n omg we were wondering wad was "rice soup with seafood"..so we ordered it..n u know wad! it's..PORRIDGE! ahha..we were like..wth!

n our meal..cost..$15..WOOT!

their park..not very clear but there's actually lots of bikes parked there..I have no idea why but the Vietnamese really make full use of their parks! unlike us..every night there's rows of bikes parked next to each other..n couples just hugging each other..they're really affectionate!! but not those horrible explicit kind..but yah! every day it's the same thing! I dun tink they have much to do I guess..they just go to the park..sit side by side n hug..



Day 3.


he decided to go all yo yo wassup..




going to visit Cu Chi Tunnels! it's a network of 200km long underground tunnels dug n used during the Vietnam War! they're underground chambers there n everything..dug using bare hands n simple tools! ppl actually got married n gave birth there! we booked the tunnel 1/2 day tour + the city tour 1/2 day! cost $20 per person..


at the entrance..very dark inside!

we were showed a video about the history n everything..I wasn't paying attention though cos there was a horrible millipede next to us..IT WAS HUGE..I shudder at the thought of it..EEW! fat n gross n everything..

we also visited their military workshop..their cooking area where they had stoves without smoke..cos they couldn't risk the enemy spotting their location..

we went back to the city..went for a very short lunch..one thing about them..they move very slowly! they take ages to cook..we had Pho again! same place as the first meal we had..their pork is very tasty! a lot too..not like Singapore! we had to rush for the bus! so we gobbled down our food..I timed..8 mins! how terrible..

they took us to the War Remnants Museum..super sad tat place..it's actually an exhibition of American War Crimes..a lot of pictures n exhibits from the war..n deformed fetuses n everything caused by Agent Orange..the area outside had tanks..jets..planes etc..


bombs..few hundred kg each








a "tiger" cage prison..very freaky..


the guillotine..the blade itself is 50kg!


tis was so scary! cos tis was inside a cell..n bf peeked thru n took a pic..I didn't dare look thru the peephole..n when I looked at the cam I actually jumped!


so sad!





next was the Reunification Palace! it used to be South Vietnam's Presidential Palace..the war ended on April 30, 1975 when tank #834 crashed through the gate




so funny! they drove the tank right into the gates!

they had rooms for EVERYTHING..conference room..meeting room..dining room..cinema room..n each of them had separate rooms for entertaining their guests! wth hor..why can't they just use the same room?!


funny ang moh..he was very enthusiastic over everything..back at the Cu Chi tunnels I heard him asking someone to take his pic of him going inside the tunnel.."hey I know I sound like a dweeb but I've been really excited about tis..couldn't u help me take a picture pls my friend?"

omg I giggled so hard when I heard it..n at the war museum..he stuck his head inside the plane's propeller..for quite a while..presumably to see how it worked..n his enthusiasm was super hilarious..

n on the bus..he was telling the Scottish lady about how he lives on a farm n how smth happened n the chickens died..so his mom called him..n the first thing he has to do when he goes home is to clear the chickens n he can't imagine how they'd smell like by then..ohmygod..hahaha..

the basement of tis place had escape routes..winding here n there..quite eerie down there..I was kinda worried about getting lost there..




Notre Dame Cathedral! we couldn't go in cos they're only open on Saturdays!


n here's their post office! doesn't look anything like ours huh! n lots of ppl are inside calling overseas..sending parcels n everything..


so grand..nice!

our city tour was done by then..so we went shopping! I bought another pair of slippers! hee..


motorbike frenzy again..

we went back to the same street for seafood again! it's just like Lau Pa Sat..they close some roads at nights cos the hawkers set up stalls along the roadside..tis time we ordered crab! n pork..shellfish..yada yada..6 dishes in all..STILL LESS THAN $20! I really miss their food most of all..their beer's cheap too! even cheaper than soft drink..$1 only..whaha..

as it was our last night in Vietnam..we wanted to walk around late at night to see how the city looked like..so we went back to the hotel first..soaked out aching feet in warm water..so shiok..n omg by then my face was DYING! cos their air is super super dusty..I had heat rash on my face..I whined n whined..we went to a convenience store..n I bought Purederm strawberry yoghurt mask..for FIFTY CENTS! n they didn't have much nightlife! so we went back..PUT THE MASK ON MY FACE..sheer heaven..

the last day..our flight was late so we extended our checkout time..we did some shopping..to get all the stuff we wanted..not much to buy actually..must really hunt for nice stuff..not like Bangkok..but the ppl here are much nicer..prolly cos bkk has become too much of a tourist destination..they're much politer..friendlier..n they're not really out to cheat $$!

decided to have a really nice meal! n boy I wasn't disappointed..


LOOK AT MY RAVIOLI!! I was crying with happines with every bite lorh..buttery n everything..somemore they decorate so nicely! n it's cheap!!! n it's just a those roadside shop! puts our restaurants to shame..

n it was back to Singapore! I'd say I had a good trip! enjoyed myself WHEE! but still of cos I'm glad to be back..our air's much better!

last Thurs Nurul n I went to Sunshine Plaza to print n bind our assignments..omg we went to some stupid shop n the service was horrible..the moron working there yanked out her thumbdrive n her documents disappeared..n he just said "i dunno" n his boss didn't care but just continued eating..we were so worried..but luckily we retrieved it! went to another printing shop..we were there for ages n ages..

she brought me to face shop after tat were I was influenced..I spent slightly over $100 on sleeping masks..peeling gel..toner..etc etc..the Raspberry Roots sleeping mask is really good! makes my skin feel very soothed..can sleep easier too!

bf came to meet me at Bugis after work while Nurul went to meet her fren..I was trying to hide the bag from him but failed haha..I msged him earlier saying tat I had steamboat craving but I didn't tink he would actually want to have steamboat..but he brought me to Seoul Garden! so happy..I ate ate ate until I was close to bursting..I had 5 scoops of ice-cream too..I sound like a monster..but tat outlet is super smoky! we smelt HORRIBLE after tat..my hair was just..eew!

I shopped after tat..goodness me..I bought a top from Kai..$49..Ipanema slippers..WHITE..how amazing..$24.90 n I dunno wad else..I was squealing away with happiness lorh..haha..

met Nurul again after tat to go home together..

Sat was exam day..bf bought me Ben&Jerry's! One Cheesecake Brownie..wheeeeeeeee..I likeeeeeeee I wanna eat it now..n we went to Night Safari at night! my first time there! it was so crowded! we queued quite a while just for the tickets..I was so excited I was hopping around in the queue..n oh I thought we wouldn't be able to see much but I was wrong! quite worth it actually! we saw mousedeer..leopards..gharials..flying foxes..OTTERS! SO CUTE! I loved themmmm they were so adorable..civets..tigers..hyenas..porcupines..pelicans..sloth bear..zebras..giraffes..bongos..etc..FUN FUN! but I was really scared while walking around cos it was quite dark between areas..so I clung to bf like superglue..n I almost died of heart failure when we went to the mangrove area cos of the bats! it was some enclosed area with bats in it..I didn't wanna go in cos I dun like bats! but he wanted to..wad a mistake..I screamed n screamed whenever smth flew..he was busy laughing at me! my heart was beating so fast lorh..but overall i had fun! =D I wanna go to the zoo too! I wanna see koala bears n penguins!

n on Sunday..we went to town! he bought my family mooncake from mariott! =D YAYNESS! snowskin ones cos I dun like the baked ones! whee..I love mooncakes! we went to Marks n Spencers where I was so tempted to buy everything..I just love their packaging..everything looks so pretty..n I satisfied my fries cravings! had spicy fries from Botak Jones for the first time..such sin..

n Monday! yesterday..I met Sam n we went to do our hair together! my hair's frighteningly black now..but the hairdresser said it's fine cos my hair's the kind tat refuses to absorb colour so it'll fade really fast to my usual hair colour..yay! we sat there from 2-6.30 n we were really hungry after tat cos we didn't eat at all b4 tat..by the time we were done we thought about popeyes until we were half mad so we decided to go to the airport n EAT..we had the 3 piece chicken strips + fries + drink + biscuit while I added an extra mashed potato..I LOVE IT! n I finished every thing though I was full cos my mouth was itchy n I couldn't move after tat..Sam didn't eat the biscuit..so she wrapped it up for her bf..he works at the airport! we went to find him for a while..he spoke! so surprising cos he's so quiet! ahhaha..omg they're so nonsensical they didn't talk much..we were sitting there..

but FUN! I missed sam! didn't see her for so long! whee..fun catching up..fun doing hair with someone..can yak..

I just spent 3 hours typing tis entry omg I am tired..nights!

happy 14 months Sam!! haha..
